Heads Up, Beauty Post

I am, after all, a girl. And a vain one, at that!

So, I was listening to some ladies in church discuss natural beauty product alternatives, and one of them is pineapple juice. I came home and Googled it, and sure enough, according to this article, pineapples contain enzymes that soften the skin (it's BHA, just Googled it again).

Yummy, AND good for your skin!

So today, when my mum cut up pineapple chunks for a snack, I took the juice that was left at the bottom of my dish and put it on my face.

Exactly like this. YES, that's me.

Heads up to those thinking of trying pineapple juice as a skin peel or a beauty product - IT STINGS. Like, seriously. As I was patting the juice onto my left cheek, my right one started hurting like it was getting jabbed with 10 tiny needles. Not fun. I washed it off after a minute of enduring acid on my face.

"I'll teach you humans to cut me up and eat me! Put me on your face... IF YOU DARE."

That being said, I do have sensitive, thin skin.. And nobody else seems to be complaining - in fact, they recommend that you put the juice or the fruit on your face for 15 - 20 minutes. I'd suggest that you try diluting the juice first, and if you have no adverse effects, then use pure juice!

And it really does work, pain aside. My skin does feel smoother and it even looks a bit fairer (although that could be my imagination)!

Eh since you're so experimental, try yogurt mask. Get the natural one, with no sugar added and flavorings, chill it kao kao, then just slather it on your face. Best thing is, the mask won't drip and you'll be free to do whatever you want. Just wash it off after 40 minutes for glowing, fair skin. :D
